James Gonzales joined the staff of the Conservatory of Music in Fall 2006 as Stage and Technical Director. He holds the B.M. in oboe performance from the University of the Pacific and has worked as audio engineer and sound designer in the Stockton, Modesto and Sacramento areas, recently receiving an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance.
In the Conservatory, James manages all concerts and events in the performing facilities, and trains and supervises the staff responsible for facility and event management.
