Since its founding in 1878, University of the Pacific's Conservatory of Music has been a bustling forefront in the contemporary music scene. 28/78 New Music Ensemble seeks to continue Pacific's great musical legacy through education and the performance of new and revolutionary musical works.
Pacific Heavy Ensemble
This student-run 40-piece ensemble plays symphonic and progressive heavy metal music connecting with the classical and jazz worlds in a conservatory setting.
Pacific Stocktones A Capella
Stocktones are the only a capella group at Pacific. Founded in 2013, they have become home for many music and non-music majors at Pacific. They accept members by audition at the beginning of each academic year.
