Pacific Opera Theatre in collaboration with Media X created a virtual production of “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare, a romantic comedy of mistaken identities. The student actors under remote guidance of Professor of Opera James Haffner and Professor of Theater Gary Armagnac filmed their individual performances using green screens provided by Media X. A team of Media X students edited the footage into the final video.
This project provided the students with an opportunity to learn about video and digital production, remote collaboration, and prepared them for the production of a spring 2021 opera pastiche film under direction of opera artist-in-residence Ann Baltz.
